A unique brand story for a very special HR consultancy

Once upon a time there was a HR consultant named Penny who wanted to help the accidental managers.

The ones who meant well but didn’t always know what to do for the best.

Then there were the people and teams who weren’t contributing because there didn’t seem to be space for their voices.

Penny could see good intentions all round, but no one had the space or the tools to bring them together.

So Penny created Ducks Away, an HR Consultancy unlike any other.

One that helped businesses from the inside out, bringing people together with experiential learning methods like LEGO ® Serious Play ®  and magnetic mapping. One that got to know managers and the people they support, so that their HR support could be tailored, personal, and built for humans. And one that got in front of smaller issues before they turned into big problems.

Penny had created something really special. She just needed help getting her message across to the people who needed her the most.

So I spent a day with her and her team (in a room surrounded by Lego, no less) and I fell in love with Ducks Away.

We created a Brand Story that gave Penny and her team the framework for every piece of marketing and communication they put out into the world.

Now when they show up, whether that’s online or in person, all their messaging is unmistakably Ducks Away. In their voice, with their values, and their clear message.

This means that those businesses that need Penny spot her from a mile away. They get an instant sense of what the company is about and of the value Ducks Away is offering.

And Penny no longer has to work so hard to be understood. The story does that work for her now. Instead, she spends her time doing what she set out to do all along: bringing people together and tending to the small stuff before it becomes the big stuff.

But don’t take my word for it. Hear it from Penny…

“I can’t thank this lovely lady enough, nor sing her praises too highly. I can truthfully say that you have transformed our messaging! Working with you gave us the focus and space to think deeply about how we approach the whole storytelling thing. Thank you Leesa!”
