Story-Driven Marketing Copy

All your copy and content marketing sorted. In your voice, not mine.

Humans have short attention spans. In fact, I’m well aware that I’m just a couple of boring words away from losing you.

This means that when someone lands on your website or landing page, you have literal seconds to convince them to stay. If you don’t grip them right away, your bounce rate will be higher than the Bank of England base rate.

Same goes for your funnel content, your white papers, and your thought leadership. And don’t get me started on your email campaigns and newsletters (yes, they work. You just need good copy).

I’m a storytelling copywriter with a background in social sciences and comms. We’ll get your brand story nailed, then I’ll write all your marketing copy and content so that you show up clearly and consistently wherever your customers hang out.

Once we’ve laid the foundation with your brand story, we’ll get all your marketing assets caught up to the new you.

We’ll make sure everyone knows what you do, why you’re brilliant at it, and why they need to work with you over everyone else.

Scroll down this page, and you’ll see a ballpark price list. But it’s a good idea for us to have a chat so that I can get a good sense of what you need. Give me a call, and we’ll cook up a plan.

(Psst. If you don’t have your Brand Story in place yet, we really should start there. Click right here, and I’ll tell you all about it.)

I can measure the difference by the number of responses I get to my cold contacts, and the sent/response ratio has doubled.

Leesa is great value, and also great fun to talk to.

I can't recommend Leesa highly enough. She re-wrote my website and transformed it to exactly the tone of voice and messaging I was looking for. Her discovery worksheet had clearly helped her get under the skin of my brand and the experience I want my clients to have of me. Very insightful and professional, thank you.

Website copy

Grab them at hello. All sorts of variables can affect this one. From the number of pages to the amount of research involved. But to give you an idea, a website with 5 pages should cost from £1,300 to £2,200.

Landing pages and funnel content:

These range from £200 for a blog to £495 for a landing page. Because 60 - 90% of people click away from landing pages after taking initial interest, so we need to make sure we get this bit right.

Email campaigns:‍ ‍

A sequence of 3 emails starts at £495, and you stay out of the spam folder.

Newsletters:

Turn those subscribers into customers, starting at £145.

Thought leadership articles:

You know what you’re doing, show it off! I’ll take that jumble of thoughts out of your head and turn it into something concise, clear, and engaging. These start at £350.

White papers:

Ooh, I love these! I am a proper nerd at heart, and I have the masters degree to back it up. But this one really does depend…sorry! Give me a shout, we’ll chat about the specifics, and I’ll give you a clear up-front cost.

We needed a truly invocative author, who could get the essence of the situation across, without muddying the water with techno babble. And then we met Leesa.

Leesa not only engages, nay, fully immerses the reader with the very real world situation, via the art of storytelling, Leesa also leaves the reader asking the all-important question, what would I do? I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Leesa receive 5 Stars++ for her authorship skills.

Things people sometimes ask…

  • I get you. There are a lot of copywriters out there. They all come with things they’re good at, and things they’re not so good at. You need to find the one that’s going to bring the stuff you need.

Here are a few things I like to shout about:

I’ve got a degree in English, a masters in social sciences, and a diploma in social work. So, I know words and I know people.

I’ve worked in comms, and I’ve led large teams. I’ve studied communication and relationships, and I know what it’s like to juggle.

Then there’s the marketing psychology stuff. I’m a published author, and I’ve studied storytelling for over two decades. So, I know of what I speak.

And I’m nice. I hope you are too.

I love building long-term relationships with my clients. I know my business, but you know yours. When we bring the two together, that’s where the magic happens.

If you want to know a bit more about my story, go here.

  • Lots of copywriters use stories because they help the brain make sense of things and create meaning.

I call myself the storytelling copywriter because I’ve spent a lot time specialising in this particular area.

I’ve been writing stories ever since I was old enough to hold a pen. My parents got me my very own writing desk when I was 5. Then I went off to university and studied stories proper.

When I started copywriting, it seemed pretty obvious where I should specialise. So, here I am.

Stories organise complex information into patterns the brain can recognise. They also grab attention and keep it. They make things memorable. And they make people feel things.

    In marketing, they are powerhouses.

  • That’s why we collaborate every step of the way.

It’s important that you tell me how it’s landing in the first draft.

This is also a good opportunity to nail down the finer detail and hammer out any kinks.

  • Sorry, but no. I’m really good at what I do, but you know your business better than anyone. I’ll need to spend a bit of time finding out what makes your brand tick.

If it makes you feel any better, think of all the time and focus you’ll save once the work is done.

  • Honestly? I’m a delight.

    No, really.

I love people and I love what I do. Nothing lights me up more than hearing people’s stories, so I’m really good at listening.

I’m Welsh though, so I can be quite candid. If I think something isn’t going to work, I’ll tell you (nicely, of course). And I’ll listen when you do the same.

I think communication is essential in all relationships. So, I’ll always keep the comms going between us. You’ll always know where we are, with clear timescales.

Oh, and I’ve never missed a deadline in my life.

  • For one-off projects, I ask for a 50% deposit up front, with the remaining 50% due within 7 days of completion.

If you’d like to have me in your pocket for the long haul, we can talk about a retainer.
